Newsletters

Yedies: News from YIVO was first published in 1925 when YIVO was established in Vilna, with the goal of keeping YIVO’s members up-to-date on the organization’s activities, including its academic conferences, acquisitions of its archives and library, and its scholarly research projects. It continued to be printed until 2012 (with a brief interruption during World War II). In 2013, Yedies transitioned from being a print publication to an online blog with posts several times a month.

The online Yedies has now become this website’s News & Features section, which will continue the tradition of keeping you informed of YIVO’s programs and projects and also offer features about books and projects in the worlds of Yiddish, Jewish studies, and the Jewish arts. All the content from the online Yedies (2013-2015) can now be read in “News & Features.” Additionally, in the fall of 2016, YIVO reinstated a biannual print newsletter for its members.
