In summer 2024, students have the option of reserving a room through NYU at Coral Tower, an NYU residence hall located near Union Square a few blocks from YIVO. These are air-conditioned, apartment-style rooms in shared suites with kitchens. While YIVO cannot guarantee that students will be able to live together at NYU, students may find ways to create a Yidish-hoyz type environment while living in the same residence hall.

The rates for housing at NYU in 2024 are as follows.

Sunday, June 23 – Saturday, August 3:

Single room weekly rate: $620/person ($3,720 total)
Shared room weekly rate: $478/person ($2,868 total)

Please note: housing through NYU is offered with limited availability. Applicants interested in obtaining NYU housing are encouraged to submit their application as early as possible.

New York-based students may commute to YIVO from home. Students attending the program online are responsible for obtaining their own summer housing for the 2024 program, and will require a computer with a microphone, camera, and internet connection.
